What’s the difference between CBD and THC?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. This means it is non-euphoric. Instead, CBD is known for its relaxing and calming effects by activating the endocannabinoid system which is connected to the physiological processes of pain, inflammation and immune response.
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is a psychoactive cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. The intake of THC results in the “high” of marijuana by activating the endocannabinoid system in a different way than CBD.

What's the difference between CBD oil, hemp oil, and hemp seed oil?
CBD oil is also known as hemp oil and can be used interchangeably. They are one and the same.
Hemp seed oil is NOT CBD oil. Nor is it hemp oil. Nor is it hemp extract.
While both CBD oil and hemp seed oil come from the same hemp plant, Cannabis sativa. The difference lies in the fact that they are extracted from different parts of the plant. Hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the plant, while CBD oil is extracted from the plant’s stalks, leaves, and flowers.
The seeds of the hemp plant do not contain CBD so hemp seed oil has little to no CBD. However, it may contain traces of CBD because the outer surface of the seeds can be contaminated by the sticky resin oil found on the bracts of the plant. But there is not enough CBD, if it is present at all, for hemp seed oil to be used for CBD benefits.
CBD is found in the stalks, leaves and flowers of the hemp plant, so, the oil being extracted from these parts of the plant, CBD oil (aka hemp oil or hemp extract) contains CBD.

Will I fail a drug test if I take CBD?
Our CBD oil is a whole plant, full spectrum extract that does contain trace amounts of THC. However, it is well below the established limits for any hemp products (a maximum of 0.3% by dry weight of any part of the plant). We are not authorities on drug testing, so we advise that people who are subject to screening should err on the side of caution.
Many variables can come into play regarding these tests, including but not limited to: individual metabolism, serving size/frequency of CBD oil, the test method used, and an individual’s exposure – be that first or second-hand, to the substances that are screened for.
There is nothing illegal about consuming the trace amount of THC found in a hemp product, but employer-mandated testing will have its own rules that impacted employees must be careful to follow.
